Xiaomi recently introduced the Xiaomi 12 smartphone family. Three models are available for customers: Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X, and Xiaomi 12 Pro. They will soon be joined by another model, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. The name suggests that it is an advanced smartphone designed for the most demanding.
The main trump card of the 12 Ultra smartphone should be the ability to capture photos and videos of exceptional quality. It is expected to be equipped with up to four cameras, which will be placed in a round glass frame.
The main camera will be equipped with a Sony IMX800 image sensor with a resolution of 50MP. In addition, there will be two high-quality cameras with a resolution of 48MP, with 2x, 5x, and 10x optical zoom. The webcam will be equipped with a 32MP image sensor.
According to online rumors, the 12 Ultra smartphone will also be equipped with a high-quality 6.73-inch or 17.1-centimeter AMOLED E5 LTPO 2.0 screen with a resolution of 2K and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 8 Gen 1+ will provide enough power in combination with up to 16GB of system memory and up to 512GB of space. There is also a battery with a capacity of 4,900mAh with support for fast charging of 120W.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra Price
The delay in launching the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is due to some upgrades in the device to achieve perfection. However, the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra is clearly on the way, as the TSMC 4nm version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus is expected to be unveiled this month.
There are reports that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will have three color options. Available colors include black, white, and marble. As for prices, the leak claims that this device will be sold at the prices below:
- Xiaomi 12 Ultra 8 GB of system memory + 256 GB of storage for $880;
- Xiaomi 12 Ultra 12 GB + 256 GB for $960;
- Xiaomi 12 Ultra 12 GB + 512 GB for $1000;
- Xiaomi 12 Ultra 16 GB + 512 GB for $1080.
Release date
Although it is difficult to set specific dates, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra could be unveiled in June or July. Given all the uncertainty we are currently facing, it should be very interesting to see what shape the phone takes when it finally arrives.
