Coffee Lovers are all over the world. Whether you are a complete beginner in the field of coffee or a connoisseur, we have prepared a list of applications that can come in handy. Whether it’s finding new recipes, tracking the amount of coffee, or just using a timer. So keep reading and you will find out which are they.
FIltru: the best application for general use
An application that offers everything from a timer, instructions for making a delicious cup of coffee, to a note or. A “diary” of the drunk coffee versions. It gives the filter a good set of everything important in coffee, without going into too much detail.
On the other hand, the app isn’t exactly for pure “coffee beginners”. Why? Because you will need a scale to follow all the recipes. However, Filtru is still the right app for those who might be considering a new method of making coffee.
On the home screen, select the preparation method and offer us a recipe for the Filter. In addition, we find information on all the necessary equipment, the steps we need to follow and once we press “play”, the application guides us through the steps in real time.
The option is also to add your recipe and use the application when you may forget how we have already made the best coffee. Another interesting feature is that the application only calculates the strength of the brewed coffee.
Probably the most interesting feature, however, is the ability to connect Bluetooth to some scales – ten models are currently supported. Then, once again, we get real-time feedback on our preparation technique.
The “Discover” segment of the app covers the ability to buy coffee, search for recipes via the community filter, or search for recommendations from celebrities.
Available for iOS and Android.
Brew Ratio: the best application that focuses on one feature
This app only does one thing, but it works very well. As the name suggests, the main idea of the app is to find the right relationship. Once you have selected the desired strength, the calculator in the app calculates the amount of coffee and water we need to get it.
Maybe all of this doesn’t seem very useful at first glance, does it? However, we quickly discover that the quality of coffee preparation is influenced by several factors. We can add different amounts of water to the application and immediately get information on the amount of coffee we need and vice versa. But that’s not all the app allows us to do.
In the Brew Ratio app you can choose between grams, teaspoons, cups and other units for both water and coffee. Even if we measure the coffee in the spoons and the water in the cups, that’s no problem.
Available for Android.
BeanConqueror: the best “coffee journal”
This app is for all “coffee nerds” and Coffee Lovers. Of course, many Coffee Lovers like to write a thing or two about drinking a cup. Bean Conqueror takes it one step further by allowing much more than just a few dashes in a note.
Unlike other apps on this list, there are no recipes in this one. The essence of this application is to record and record ingredients, preparation methods, and final grades. We will need a combination of at least one grain to start. coffee grinder and a method of preparation.
You may find it too much, but that’s not quite the case. In the initial phase it is possible to enter only the name in the application and then add further information as desired. You will be amazed at how much information you can actually enter about the coffee.
Among the preparation methods we find both standard and Aero Press, and we can also add our own method. However, when it comes to evaluating the coffee, we can add information such as roasting speed, date, altitude, harvest month and so on.
Available for iOS and Android.
Brew Timer: the best app to discover new flavors
The Brew Timer app works in a very similar way to the filter, except that it is more flexible. At first we choose between 14 different ways to prepare the coffee, but we can also add our own. This is more than any app on our list.
So let’s start with one of the recipes, use the sliders to adjust the quantities and see the required temperature. The app guides us through the recipe with audio and visual hints, and we always have more tips and tricks available.
A particularly convenient option offered to us by the Brew Timer app is that we can create our own video recipe. So if we find a “near perfect” recipe, we can simply clone it and adjust only the parts we feel need to be adjusted. The alternative is to create your own recipe from scratch.
Finally, we can share our creations with the community. A great way for anyone who thinks they’ve managed to come up with the best Hario V60 recipe and wants to show it to friends and other users. Funny isn’t it?
Only available for Android.
