With the Dell XPS 13, the XPS line is only improving thanks to Intel Evo certification, which is only granted to some high-performance laptops. To obtain this certificate, your computer must meet the certain speed, efficiency, and performance requirements. This also means that the laptop has a premium price, especially when accessing higher configurations.
The Dell XPS 13 still offers a lot of value to many users, although it is not among the cheapest laptops. This is thanks to powerful internal elements such as 2TB NVMe SSD, 16 GB RAM, Intel Tiger Lake processor, and, of course, a beautiful 16:10 full HD display with almost no frames, which can be upgraded to 4K.

The notebook is equipped with Intel’s 11th generation i7 processor, which, in addition to a four-core (8-thread) configuration for exceptional computing power, also offers greatly improved graphics performance (integrated Iris Xe graphics) compared to the older generation. In addition to the usual tasks, it is therefore also suitable for graphics-intensive and even for playing some computer games.
Memory selection is appropriate for this. A 1 TB SSD drive will satisfy the most demanding in this regard, while 16 GB of RAM is a guarantee for the smooth operation of several simultaneously open programs. When it comes to connectivity, in addition to two Thunderbold 4 connectors and memory card slots, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 are also supported.
Dell XPS 13 has a nearly 34-centimeter (13.4-inch) 4K (3,840 x 2,400-pixel) touchscreen with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Although at first glance the difference with the currently more widespread 16: 9 TV ratio is not large, for some tasks, due to more screen space along the vertical axis, it is even more pronounced.
During normal use, web browsing, office tasks, even some games, and the use of a good portion of programs, the height of the screen is more important than the width. In addition, addition to wide viewing angles, IPS display technology also offers beautiful colors and, with 500 cd / m2, enough brightness even for outdoor use.
The backlit keyboard with large and responsive keys extends almost from one edge to the other, offers comfortable typing, and is one of the better in the world of laptops. The same is true for the relatively large and excellent responsive touchpad in the usual place.
The speakers are mounted on the bottom and emit sound down and away from the laptop, which is never good from a quality standpoint.
Although the battery capacity of 52W does not seem to be one of the most we have seen in laptops, it is still sufficient in combination with relatively economical electronic components. Lifespan, of course, depends on CPU usage, screen settings, and how the device is used, but nine hours of watching movies on Netflix isn’t impossible to achieve.
